Phillies spank Brewers and head home

The Philadelphia Phillies split the series between them and the Milwaukee Brewers, each winning two games.  In last nights game, Aaron Nola worked six scoreless innings allowing only six hits before the offense took over for an 8-1 whipping of the Brewers.

“I told the infielders I was gonna give them a 1-2-3 inning one time,” Nola said. “It didn’t happen. … I battled hard and kept the team in the game, which is the most important part.”

The Phillies begin a four game home stand against the Chicago Cubs beginning today at 6:05.  Plenty of great seats and affordable tickets are still available so be sure to get yours today and help cheer on your Philadelphia Phillies

New GM looks to usher new era for Phillies

Even though the Philadelphia Phillies lost 99 games last season, and while the team made a number of moves, some of them controversial such as the Ken Giles trade, but pundits don’t seem to think it will make much of a difference in 2016 as the team lacks depth.

The predicted rotation looks to be:

RHP Aaron Nola
RHP Jeremy Hellickson
RHP Charlie Morton
RHP Jerad Eickhoff
RHP Vincent Velasquez
