Giants come calling on Phillies

Giants take on Phillies

The match up between the hot San Francisco Giants (61-44, 1st NL West) and your Philadelphia Phillies (48-59 4th NL East) would normally be just another run through for the Giants, but last time out, and with Madison Bumgarner back on the mound, anything can happen.

Bumgarner allowed three runs in a 3-2 loss to the Phillies at AT&T Park on June 25th.  Bumgarner will be going up against Phillies RHP Zach Elfin (3-4, 4.23 ERA) pitched a shutout on July 22nd against the Pittsburgh Pirates.

Tickets for the series are still available so be sure to grab yours and get out to see what should be a pretty good series.

Giants sweep Phillies

For the first time since early September of 2000, the San Francisco Giants completed a three game sweep of the Phillies at AT&T Park.  In last nights game, the hero of the night was Andrew Susac, who hit a three run homer in the fourth inning.  For Susac, who has been a slump as of late, it was a return to form.  His three RBI’s matched a personal best

“I was trying to do too much instead of driving it right back up the middle,” Susac said  after the game

The Phillies meet up against the Miami Marlins after the All Star Break.  Plenty of great seats and affordable tickets are still available, so be sure to get yours today!
